How to Play Multi-Hand Blackjack with Surrender for Real Money
Also known as 21, Blackjack is played between the player and dealer. To play this version of Multi-Hand Blackjack With Surrender, place your bet by clicking on the Chip Selector button and then on the betting area above. You may bet on one, two or three hands by placing chips at each one.
Two cards will be dealt to you for each bet made. Your cards face up while the dealer receives a pair with one card face down.
Each card has a value between 1 and 11. Cards 2 to 10 are worth their face values, Jacks, Queens and Kings have a value of 10, and Aces are worth either 1 or 11.
When a player is dealt an Ace and a 10 value card it’s referred to as a Blackjack or ‘natural’ and beats all other hands. If both the player and dealer have the same value hand, neither wins and the bet is returned.
Bet Placing
Players place bets by putting chips on the table before the first two cards are dealt. The dealer must keep drawing cards until they reach a hand of at least 16. Once the dealer has a hand of 17 or more, they must ‘stand’ so that no more cards can be dealt to them.
Betting Options
In Multi-Hand Blackjack with Surrender, when dealt your cards, for each hand you have the option to:
Stand – stay with the cards you have
Hit – receive another card
Double Down – place another bet to receive one more card after the first two cards were dealt
Split – if both your first two cards have the same value, you can split the hand into two separate hands and receive another card on each
Surrender – after being dealt the first two cards, you may surrender your hand and throw the cards away, with half the bet returned to you
Insurance – when the dealer has an Ace as their first card, you can purchase insurance to protect you from a loss
Winning at Blackjack
When you’ve placed your bets, your hand is less than 21 and you’ve chosen to Stand, the dealer will stand or hit for more cards. The winner is whoever has a total value closest to 21, without exceeding it.
Payouts and winnings vary depending on the bets placed, the actions taken and the result of the hand. In Multi-hand Blackjack with Surrender, it’s possible to win on one, two or three hands all at the same time!
