Jelly Jillions Slot
An innovative creation from the minds over at Reel Play, the Jelly Jillions slot and its sugar-infused theme hit the casino market for the first time back in October 2023. Even with the candy-inspired genre of online NJ slots today being vast, this game manages to set itself apart thanks to its gameplay, particularly its cluster pays engine. By combining this system with some additional fixed jackpot, cascading reel, and respin mechanics, amongst some other creative bonuses, the Jelly Jillions slot presents a dynamic gameplay formula that has several layers to it.
Jelly Jillions Game Design
As is the case with some other titles in the same genre, the backdrop of the Jelly Jillions slot depicts a landscape entirely made from sugary food items. Candy floss acts as the grass here, with lollipops and candy canes acting as trees. Other boiled sweets, iced gems, and chocolate mounds represent foliage, with pieces of icing adding even more depth to the setting. To the right of the screen, the game logo can be seen, which is made from jelly, extremely fitting when considering the name of this vibrant Reel Play release. This vivid graphical approach is not only seen in this game, but also others from the same development studio, too, including Fruit Combinator and Shamrock Money Pot 10k Ways.
Jelly Jillions Mechanics
A pink striped candy cane decorated with ice cream and sprinkles surrounds the playtable in the Jelly Jillions slot. This playgrid contains 6 reels and 6 rows of symbols, with gameplay unfolding across them; however, unlike many other online casino games, there are no paylines. As we have already mentioned, these have been replaced by a more nuanced cluster pays system, with combinations being decided if 5+ matching symbols randomly land next to one another, touching either vertically or horizontally on the playtable. To the left of this setup, some orange, blue, and red lollipops can be seen next to some prize multipliers, representing the Grand, Major, Minor, and Mini jackpots respectively in this Jelly Jillions slot.
At the same time, Reel Play has made sure that the Jelly Jillions slot is accessible across several device options by building this sugar-infused title on top of the HTML5 framework. This adaptive technology is used for many of their other NJ Casino games and allows the colorful visuals and dynamic cluster pays gameplay blueprint to preserve every bit of quality if accessed on a different play method. This applies to tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and smartphones as long as they are connected to the internet during gameplay.
Jelly Jillions Bonus Features
There is a collection of inventive bonuses in the Jelly Jillions slot that could introduce some nuances to the gameplay, with these ranging from symbols and feature rounds to persistent playgrid mechanics.
Cascading Reels
In the instance that 5 or more matching symbols randomly form a cluster in the Jelly Jillions slot, they are removed from the 6x6 playgrid, leaving empty spaces in their wake. Following this, any of the gaps are then filled by a new, random set of symbols which fall from overhead, with this being the same as in titles such as Anubis Wild Megaways.
Wild Symbols
The letter ‘W’ made from candy canes acts as the wild symbol in the Jelly Jillions slot and could land across any of the 6 reels at random. If this occurs, it might be able to take the place of other base game jelly symbols, something which can be attributed to its substitution abilities. Should 2 or more of these be involved in the same cluster, however, they may trigger a 4x multiplier.
Bonus Respins
A multi-colored star made from jelly acts as the scatter, and if 5 or more appear on the playtable simultaneously, this could trigger the Bonus Respins round in the Jelly Jillions slot. This feature starts with 3 respins being added to the player’s total, and any triggering star scatters lock in place. If any more of these appear in the respins, these too become sticky on the playgrid, before reverting the respin amount back to 3. Following all respins being used up, any jellied star scatters stuck to the reels may either reveal a random multiplier between 1x and 100x, or the words Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand that correspond to the fixed jackpots on screen.
