This version of one of the most popular casino games, otherwise known as 21, has never felt so real to play from the comfort of your home, on your mobile phone or desktop PC.
How to Play First Person Blackjack
Blackjack is a game where the dealer and player compete against each other by using 2 or more cards to reach as close to 21 as possible, without exceeding it, or going ‘bust’. First Person Blackjack is played the same.
Aces are worth either 1 or 11; Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 10, while cards 2 to 10 are worth their face values. A deal of an Ace and a 10-value card is called a Blackjack or ‘natural’ and beats all other hands. If both the player and the dealer have the same-value hand, neither wins and the bet is returned.
Bet Placing
To play First Person Blackjack, place your bet first by putting forward the number of chips you wish to wager. You can bet on five hands at once.
Betting Options
When you’re dealt your initial two cards in First Person Blackjack, you can choose to:
Stand – stick with the cards you have
Hit – get another card (multiple times)
Double Down – place another wager and receive one more card after the first two initial cards
Split – you can split the hand into two separate hands if your first two cards are the same value, and receive another card for each
Insurance – when the dealer has an Ace as their first card you can purchase insurance to protect against a loss
Side Bets
In First Person Blackjack, players have the option of making a number of different popular side bets. These include Perfect Pairs, where any pairs initially dealt pay out, or 21+3, where your two cards and the dealer’s face up card make a three-card poker combination. You may also place a pre-decision bet in First Person Blackjack, where you choose to Hit, Stand or Double at the same time to speed up the game.
How to Win at First Person Blackjack
Once you’ve placed all your bets and your hand is 21 or less, the dealer will stand or hit. The winner is whoever has a total card value closest to 21, without exceeding it.
Payouts and winnings in First Person Blackjack will vary based on the wagers placed, the action taken throughout the hand, and the result. A natural Blackjack pays 3:2, a winning hand pays 1:1, and insurance pays 2:1.
